Alhambra - Buildings D & H Renovation
PROJECT UPDATES:
February 14, 2018
Fire alarm systems are being tested in Building D and we hope to have classrooms occupied in the coming weeks. An additional piece of the Buildings D & H Renovation project is launching, related to ADA regulations and path of travel.
December 14, 2017
The Digital Media Arts class moved into their updated room this week in the H Building! Crews are working to complete the D Building. New flooring and ceiling tiles are in. Lots of work planned for the Winter Break while students are away.
November 1, 2017
The project has had delays but the Bond Team is working hard to get the classrooms ready for students.
During the course of the District's master facility planning it was determined that the interior structure of the D Building was not an efficient use of the space. The building was redesigned to better suit the needs of the technical departments for the Woodshop, Automotive, and CAD programs. Similarly classrooms in the H building housing programs such as Photography were designated for renovation. Photography will be offered as a digital media arts program.
