Martinez Junior High - Locker Rooms Renovation

PROJECT UPDATES:

August 14, 2019

First day of school at MUSD. The new lockers and flooring are complete. Benches will be installed soon to the specifications of the MJHS athletic department staff. Construction team has located compatible evaporative cooling systems and they have been ordered. Installation is scheduled tentatively for mid-September.

June 10, 2019

Demolition begins on the locker rooms as soon as school is out. Construction team is doing research on cooling units that may be installed in the locker rooms.

April 29, 2019

Bond team meets with MJHS athletic department to review final design plans and timeframe for locker room renovation project.

March 25, 2019

MUSD School Board approves revised budget ($2,000,000 for Locker Rooms and Maker Space projects) and directs District staff to move forward on the MJHS locker room project.

January 30, 2019

Bond team meets with MJHS athletic department and admin to discuss needs and wants for the locker room renovations .
